How is ICT progressed

As ICT is fully integrated then the increasing demands of the core subjects, differentiated through age and ability, will ensure ICT capabiity is challenged and progressed. Careful reference to prior attainment in the subject and ICT skills will inform planning and resourcing the activity and challenge.   This approach is consistent with the principles of Assessment for Learning (AfL) embodied in Assessing Pupils Progress (APP) and supports the dynamics of an adaptive and responsive curriculum.

Progression through and across the national curriculum is clearly defined by the level descriptors and reference to these will support the assessment process and standardise performance and attainment for moderation and quality assurrance.
