Description:
The children were asked to invent a question to which they could collect a bank of data. This piece shows the child chose to ask the question about gender, eye colour and favourite subjects. The data was entered on an Excel spreadsheet with some simple analysis including using the graphing tools. This was a good basis for the children to develop into more complex analysis using formulas. They used ICT to organise and classify information and to present their findings.(2; 3) They entered, saved and retrieved work.(1) They used ICT to help them generate, amend and record their work and shared their ideas in different forms, including text, tables.(2; 3; 4) They talk about their experiences of ICT both inside and outside school.(3; 4; 5)
