Kingsfield Primary: Instructions for making a Christmas card

Created: Jan 2007

Subjects: English,

Year: 2 Level: 2

Teacher Comments:
The class worked in pairs on lap-tops to create a powerpoint presentation of how to make a Christmas card. The previous week we had followed instructions to make the card and had watched a Digi-Blue film of the teacher giving instructions of how to make a card. The children then had a go at this with the Digi-Blues. The children were given a template for the powerpoint. They were shown how to insert a photo (taken by the children. This presentation was completed by two more able children in the class. They were able to independently complete the writing and insert the pictures. They were beginning to use ICT independently.
They amended and saved the work by themselves including organising and entering the information for presentation.
